岭南广场，一个景观大观园，被一圈树墙紧紧围合，让这片绿洲远离城市烦嚣。宽敞，延绵无尽的绿洲沿着广州塔
——广州最标志的建筑物7米的平台顺势而下，一直延伸至新港中路。弯弯曲曲的主人行道连接着岭南广场上两边
的标志性文化建筑。岭南广场作为广州新中轴线的延续，其独特之处就在于对岭南建筑景观文化紧紧相邻，建筑与
景观密不可分，融为一体。这种建筑与景观如此亲密的关系，将在这里以新的尺度以阐释。岭南广场如仙境般的世
外桃源，山，水，林，田构筑成一片城市中的自然绿洲。

三大馆建筑以自己自由奔放，不拘一格的有机形态，受中国山石的启发—— 太湖石，江边峡谷与石林，如雕塑般
屹立在开场的岭南广场上。让人联想起中国山水画中的画面。

Lignan Square is a landscape park separated from the surrounding city by a massive wall of trees. The open field
of this green oasis links the whole area with Canton Tower, one of the most iconic buildings of Guangzhou. A
meandering walkway and a river connect the landmark buildings on both sides of this open field. The new
continuation of Guangzhou main axis is closely related to lignan culture where architecture and landscape
become inseparable. This close relationship between architecture and nature is carried to the new scale of
Guangzhou. The buildings with their organic and sculptural appearance resemble mountains in an open rice field
as it is shown in so many Chinese paintings.

概念图片：广州美术馆的形态受太湖石启发，太湖石是一个融合时间，艺术，空间的艺术珍品，像这块太湖石一
样，建筑内外空间，虚实空间，变为一个不可分割的复杂形态。

The form of Guangzhou Art Museum is inspired by Taihu stones, which has been scholars' favorite since Tang
and Song Dynasties. Taihu stone is a combination of 'time, art and space'. Like in those rare stones, inside and
outside, object and void, architecture and space become a inseparable complex unit.

This space resembles caverns inside a mountain which are told in so many legends true secret place of art treasure.

小树，河流，草坪等景观元素从岭南广场延伸到美术馆内部，室内室外空间边界被模糊成为一个有机体。雄伟的大
穹顶笼罩着这片艺术绿洲，建筑，艺术，自然将会在这个穹顶空间中高度融合，吸引人们来探寻岭南艺术的神秘。

Looking at a river with trees, grassfields and rocks, you might think to be in an open landscape. While you find
yourself in the heart of the art museum of Guangzhou, setting a new landmark worldwide. This public space will
bring together nature, architecture, landscape and people to expand Lignan culture to the new scale of Guangzhou.
