西班牙瓦伦西亚老城区艾尔卡门一栋19世纪的老建筑中,一间两个大卧室套间的公寓被改建成为办公室。

With the condition from the owner of obtaining two two-bedroom apartments of what used to be one big apartment, and profiting the mild climate
with a confortable terrace, the aim was to respect the ancient charm of the building, uncovering the wooden beams and brick walls that existed
but were not visible.
To enhance these elements, walls did not touch the ceiling allowing communication between areas without losing privacy, and white was mainly
used, so that the colours of the wood, brick, and original floor tiles were highlighted. The choice of white also helped to gain more natural light
reflection, together with translucent sliding panels communicating spaces, given that the apartment was quite long and lacked more sunlight.
These spaces communicated also allowed cross-ventilation, making air conditioning unnecessary.
When the structure was uncovered, certain structural problems were discovered, so part of the wooden beams had to be repaired, reinforced or
substituted to guarantee the safety of the building Currently it is used as an office for different professionals.
