We waited for this moment for a long time. And it happened just this summer. We expected a pleasant surprise and we were surprised. Very pleasantly. Public Dine&Wine restaurant is another good example of how great of a place to live Belgrade can be. Not to mention the excellent food! In the most beautiful of Belgrade ’s venacs, in Kosan čićev venac street, in the building of Faculty of Applied Arts, just where the Langoust restaurant was before, Public Dine&Wine restaurant was born. With the most beautiful view – looking at Ušće!The idea of Public was to gather people. Around good food, in pleasant company! Public is a place where you live the moment with all your senses. Public is a place for friends, old and new. A place where you can look, listen, touch, taste… A place where memories are made. A place you come back to. For new experiences, or to share old ones. That is why it was named Public. Because it is important to share sensed experiences with your friends, acquaintances, the ones to become those. The idea of the people behind this lovely project is to try and bond Serbian fascination with meat and rich tradition with finest ingredients of Mediterranean. These two combined together give a completely new experience of a belief that mixing differences makes the best of things. One thing that singles out Publicis its menu with plenty of meat delicates, but the ones who are not into meat will also enjoy in excellent offer of pastas, cheeses and perfect wines. The proof for that is the fact that Public works with renowned foreign manufacturers: Puratos, Nonino, Masi, Frescobaldi. They are all „Public & Friends“! And the kitchen is actually based on meat, not just any meat, but meat from its own production (because the brand behind Public is Public Meat&Deli, working in the field of selection and manufacture of meat delicates). Food in Publicis always prepared from extremely quality ingredients. They wanted to turn our roots, rich tradition of meat based kitchen and tradition of unusual ways of preparing and conserving, with the way we live now, and that is strong Mediterranean influence. And the result is an incredible mix, an experience that could be translated as “new Serbian kitchen”. The space with light and pleasant colors with a lot of natural light can for a moment take you to some sunny and sandy landscape of Dubai or Abu Dhabi. While on the other hand, simple and contemporary interior brings a bit of the Scandinavian touch, without needless details and very well thought through!
