The owner of this house is a "professional customer": the design of her apartment was already on the cover of the magazine. She took the process of creating the interior seriously – organized a competition among the bureaus.  “I wasn’t at the first meeting,” says project author Olesya Golova, Point Design studio.  “The colleagues handed over a record where the wishes were presented as clearly and concisely as possible: to associate the interior with the exterior, not to make it classic, but at the same time not too trendy.”

“I just finished the core course at Detali School and, although I have a professional architectural education, I was inspired and full of new ideas. I treated the tender as a creative competition and did not restrain my imagination. To create the concept, I needed a story from which the interior would begin to develop. I presented the client as a secular lady of the 1920s, bright, advanced and independent. She needs a home that will impress her guests but at the same time be comfortable for everyday life.”

“I turned to the original sources: the elegant luxury of French Art Deco, the laconicity of ancient villas – and made these styles modern and comfortable. The initial data of the house allowed to create a beautiful layout, to build parade axes. It was already half the success. The main emphasis I decided to put on architectural plastic, the individual elements of which are repeated in almost all rooms, connecting spaces together.”

“I made the final idea in the form of a detailed presentation. The client listened quietly to my little lecture and hurried away. We were disappointed and seemed to like nothing. But a few hours later we received a message that we were impressed with our approach and ideas. This is how our three-year partnership began.”

“The directly intersecting axes of the premises on the first floor are like the sound of a cameron. Jurassic marble, travertine, decorative wall painting, disorderly columns - against the background of the elegant simplicity of the finish, accents are placed: collectible vintage items, author's furniture and painting from a still-emerging art collection. The owner is a businesswoman and values her and our time. She trusted the professionals to make the decisions and we followed the idea to the end.”
