- This 65,000-square-foot, single-story corporate office relocation for Robert Half was designed to embody the core values of the organization, creating a flexible and forward-thinking headquarters that supports a new way of working. Anchored by a dynamic “main street” concept, the design establishes a vibrant central circulation path that connects key spaces, including the reception and work lounge, a park lounge overlooking the lake, and a quiet library for focused tasks. Inspired by the company’s commitment to innovation, integrity, inclusion, and success, the space balances openness and structure, utilizing a series of facades, portals, and archways to foster movement and engagement.
- The design team worked closely with the client to establish new space types that support evolving workstyles, while also coordinating with technical business units to integrate a recording studio and specialty functions. Meeting spaces are arranged along the main circulation path to enhance collaboration, while a variety of work settings, from team rooms to training areas with operable walls, provide adaptability for different modes of work. A seamless indoor-outdoor connection was a priority, leading to the development of a new patio adjacent to the work lounge, requiring careful coordination to integrate a new exterior door within the existing infrastructure. Acoustic vaults define key areas such as the reception, work lounge, and pre-function space, ensuring optimal sound performance while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
- Unique architectural elements, including wood portals that delineate major pathways, a wood frieze at primary conference rooms, and curved glass corners, contribute to a sophisticated and cohesive environment. The project’s park-like setting is reflected in the design’s emphasis on natural light, outdoor views, and organic materiality, reinforcing a workplace that is both high-performing and welcoming. Throughout the process, visioning and programming meetings, along with iterative design presentations, ensured alignment with business objectives and employee needs. The result is a workplace that not only meets operational demands but also enhances the employee experience, creating a forward-thinking hub that supports collaboration, concentration, and community.
