Launched in 2015, customisable furniture brand
Reddie is relatively young. It already has, however, a strong identity, born out of its two founders’ clear vision. Since their debut, husband and wife Andrew and Caroline Olah have been guided by a straightforward yet ambitious leitmotiv – “design that fits”.
Everything started in New York City, where Caroline, an interior architect, was unable to find simple and timeless pieces that could be customised to fit specific room sizes and styles, much less at a good price point. The problem led her to create Reddie, with the objective of making furniture customisation easy and fun, and ultimately allow people to throw out less and treasure more, favouring a slow living and slow consumption approach. But developing the idea into a reality was not an easy task, and Andrew and Caroline quickly realised a high dose of creativity and entrepreneurship would be required to make it happen.
