Stoked Associates recently accomplished the office design for a confidential investment firm located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This is a venture capital firm that focuses their investments in both public and private companies. It specializes in incubation, seed stage, startup stage, early stage, and growth stage investments in private companies.
The client wanted a space that would not only function as a working office but would also give everyone a space to relax, come together and innovate as well as to represent the values of this investment firm. Our main purpose was to play with warm materials and a contemporary language in the disposition of the elements. The office has an open office space with a large living area for 24 people, 14 private cabins, one board meeting room, various meeting rooms with different settings and a large pantry for various settings.
We distributed the open work desk around a living area which is the focus of the open office, allowing users to congregate and collaborate. We incorporated multi-functional furniture along the space to separate the exterior area, dedicated to open office and board meetings.
The overall scheme, materials and color palette were considered to compliment the ideals of the firm. Majority of the colors kept to an earthy palette of rusts, greens and natural materials and brick walls in the cabins breaks the monotony of a typical office space.
