How are Swedish designers working with sustainability today? How do they feel about developing new things, and how do they create an added value in a piece of furniture?
‘Designed to Last’ reflects on some of the most important issues currently facing the design industry – sustainability and designing for the long term – allowing a number of designers and architects to describe how they look at their role in a rapidly evolving, throwaway society.
‘Designed to last’ is the second collaboration between the Swedish magazine Residence and ArkDes. During 2016 the exhibition ‘Designer of the year’ celebrated Note design studio, curated by the leading stylist Lotta Agaton, also bringing up topics about the role of the stylist in the design industry.
‘Designed to Last’ is on show at ArkDes, Stockholm until 19th March 2017.
