iDA Workplace recently realized the office design for AstraZeneca, the research-based biopharmaceutical company, located in Taipei, Taiwan.
iDA worked to bring a joyful working landscape to AstraZeneca’s Taipei workplace by incorporating living features into a simple, modern design. Other design elements feature imagery that was inspired by the mountainous terrain of Taiwan, traditional bamboo weaving, and embossed glass. The original space was relatively narrow, but by blurring and overlapping spatial boundaries, the space was expanded both visually and functionally. In the open office area, greenery is used to create segmentation and to create natural circulation.
Sustainable and renewable materials were used in the coffee area. The mountain-like wall is made from coffee beans residue and the imagery of the mountains combines with the undulating acoustical board and gentle lighting, to create a relaxing atmosphere.
