Upon discovering the sublime panorama of this penthouse, it is easy to understand how its tenants – a young family who comes from California – fell in love with this Modern Apartment. Housed in a building designed by architect Lucien Lagrange, the duplex which occupies levels 38 and 39- overlooks the famous Loop of Chicago and Lake Michigan, a fascinating panorama of this home design during both day and night.

In rusty steel and glass, a sculptural staircase connects both floors. And if we keep talking about materials, we must mention the stars of this Modern Apartment: plaster, wood, glass, and marble. The reflective finishes of the polished surfaces allow the spaces of the luxury apartment to be subtly illuminated, creating a constantly evolving relationship between the occupants and their surroundings. This effect was reinforced by the lighting design conceived in collaboration with Lux Populi.
