维多利亚板球和社区中心一个先进、专业、全年无休的板球训练和管理机构。该机构既为来自各地区的板球运动员和爱好者提供服务，也为社区提供设施，以支持当地体育、社会、健康和教育的发展项目。它是国家男/女子板球队、历史悠久的St Kilda板球俱乐部所在地，也是首个为男女运动员提供相同设施的精英级训练中心。

The Victorian Cricket and Community Centre (VC3) is a state-of-the-art, dedicated, year-round cricket training and administration facility that services both regional and metropolitan cricketers, as well as providing facilities for community use to support sport, social, health and educational programs. It is home to the Men’s and Women’s state cricket teams,  the historic St Kilda cricket club, and is the first elite level training facility to provide equal facilities for male and female players.

这是维多利亚州第二个符合一流板球标准的场地，可作为墨尔本板球运动场的替代选择，以满足当地一流的板球运动需求。

It is Victoria’s second venue that complies with first class cricket standards and offers a complementary alternative to the Melbourne Cricket Ground for Cricket Victoria’s first-class cricket needs.

该训练中心面向所有级别的运动员（从俱乐部到州代表队级别）开放，为他们提供最好的实战训练、教练指导和球员准备设施。它将维多利亚板球的管理、开发和培训功能整合到一起，使维多利亚板球能够更高效地运作。与此同时，训练中心还结合了面向社区开放的设施，全年开展有利于支持基青少年板球运动的发展项目。

The facility provides best practice training, coaching and player preparation facilities for all levels of the sport (from club level to the state representative team level), consolidates Cricket Victoria’s administration, development and training functions into a single location, enables Cricket Victoria to operate more efficiently and effectively and incorporates facilities that are open to the community and support grass roots and junior development programs on a year-round basis.

场馆主要依据一流的板球场地标准进行设计，但从根本上讲是灵活的，因为它考虑到了未来举办重大赛事（如T20板球世界杯等）的可能。对这些相关赛事的预期影响了基础设施的设计和建造，以适应未来可能会用到的诸如转播技术、广播和照明等需求。

The venue, whilst being designed primarily around first-class cricket standards, is fundamentally flexible, giving consideration to future major event opportunities such as Twenty 20 Cricket and associated event opportunities. Anticipation of these allied events influenced the design and provision of infrastructure to accommodate future elements such as technology, broadcasting and lighting.
