这是浙江卫视公益改造节目《全能宅急变》的改造项目，第8集。拜访这家人的旧宅，第一印象就是东西杂乱，建筑空间非常破败，房子的功能和动线混乱，室内光线昏暗，空气不对流，储藏空间严重不足，建筑漏水和霉气，外部的爬藤植物已经入侵室内，虫鼠隐患，水电安全等等，最主要是母女共同生活的一间房里，即感受不到一起生活的亲切气息，也没有个人私密空间，这种关系亟需调整。都需要彻底改变。这是一个建筑内外和生活方式的重新考虑。

设计源于“记忆”的概念，家，有很多生活记忆和情感在，有儿时一张张收集的邮票，有母亲到现在引以为豪的老嫁妆，有父亲中奖抱回来的老空调，虽然现在已然不能满足生活需求，但他依然是生活的一部分，更多的是对亲情的回忆。对建筑和室内，我们是作为一个场所来考虑的，把它看作一个人与人相聚的场所，我们的出发点是人与人的交流和相会。“轻生活”的概念即由此而来。

这么破的房子为什么不搬走，完全可以置换更好的商品房，因为有亲情的记忆在，有以前的生活故事情感和这里的景区环境，结合现场情况，和西湖景区杭州本地的生活状态，做了符合当地生活的当下的设计。

入户通过一个悬空的体块，加强体块感并且多功能储藏。通过体块间的穿插实现客厅与楼梯间的对话，重新规划的楼梯区域更像是一条时光隧道，充满年代的回忆。布满岁月痕迹的老木头与当代不断碰撞，现代建筑语汇与低度设计空间的对话。阁楼重新做了利用，增大了开窗，做了大型储物的套房。建筑上最大化采光和通风，营造愉悦自在的生活状态。
