1960Kate Hume was born in a small village in England, 80 years in London to learnfashion, to Joan Burstein as an apprentice. Kate moved to New York at the age of 24 when Bergdorf Goodman's work. She met hercurrent husband: Dutch furniture designer Frans van der Heijden, and soon sheleft Bergdorf, during which they bought a house in the deep countryside ofsouthwestern France and had two lovely sons. Why in the 90s they eventuallyreturned to Amsterdam and settled here!
