Despite all the difficulties Greeks have faced over the past few years, their resilience and drive continues to break through boundaries in architecture and interiors. Another great project comes from Divercity Architects where they have designed and developed an eatery & café with a unique spatial program and flexible use to weather the times and maximize on the space used.

Athens continues to be a bustling city and its outdoor culture will alwyas bring people together to eat, drink and converse. Set in the high-end Kolonaki district, IT café is located in an existing downtown building where the idea of a packing crate materializes the food experience through texture, warmth and honest materials. A fresh food cafe and multi-functional space that also doubles as a presentation and exhibit space, IT uses the metaphor of a packing crate to create a basic framework using wood chipboard panels that not only bring forth a sense of warmth but also set the backdrop for other events inside the space. The rustic and unfinished textures give the space a sense of casualness and comfort, in turn inviting everyone to participate where wooden stud frames allow for storage opportunities and display mounting options.
