建筑师李涵和设计师胡妍创立于北京的绘造社分享了他们的最新作品:艺术家方天园的琰玉兿文。
【琰玉兿文】是绘造社为艺术家方天园设计的个人艺术空间,位于杭州良渚文化村玉鸟流苏商业街。艺术家希望这个110平方米的空间能提供 尽可能多的功能,包括作品展示、艺术衍生品陈列、小型讲座教学、会客洽谈、休闲饮茶和画作储藏。同时根据艺术家的要求,绘造社为【琰 玉兿文】创作了建筑绘画《玉鸟流苏》,表现了空间所在区域周边的风景。
Yanyu Art Space is designed by Drawing Architecture Studio (DAS) for artist Fang Tianyuan. Located at Festival Place of Liangzhu New Town in the suburb of Hangzhou, the 110m2 space is conceived by the artist as a multifunctional venue for art exhibition, art product sale, lectures, meetings, tea drinking and artwork storage. As part of the commission, DAS also created an architectural drawing Festival Place to represent the surrounding area of the art space.
室内层高4米,为空间的高低变化提供了一定的条件。设计方案受到了Adolf Loos的Raumplan设计方法的启发,将不同的功能以适合的体量排入 空间,形成相对复杂的剖面。画廊的主体展示区域是一个高大方正的空间,用满4米层高。前面的入口区和后面的饮茶区用吊顶压低,吊顶内侧 布置空调设备。这两个区域采用水曲柳木皮包裹,进一步强调出空间体量的完整性。空间的东侧将会客区与画库上下叠起来,用画库作为会客 区的台基,形成错层,使空间进一步丰富。
A 4-meter-high interior provides a great potential to explore some variations for the height of the space. Inspired by the design method of Raumplan by Adolf Loos, DAS creates a relatively complex section by transforming different functions into appropriate volumes and inserting them into the space. The exhibition area is a high and square space taking up the total 4 meters. The entrance at the front and tea room at the back are featured with low ceilings where air conditioning system is hidden inside. These two areas are covered with ash veneers from ceiling to floor, which further strengthens the integrity of the spatial volume. A split-level structure sits at the east part of the space with a rectangular sitting area stacking on the top of the storage room, which enriches the overall space.
Raumplan的设计方法既强调“体积一样的空间”的完整性,又需要各空间之间彼此尽量开放,从而展现出空间的层次和关系。正如西班牙建筑 师A.C.Baeza的名言——“穿过一个房间到另一房间的光是重要的”,因此设计在几处关键位置开洞,让光与视线穿过。斜开的洞口延长了两个 相邻空间的距离,形成更长的连接进深。利用这段距离再开次级小洞,用于布置灯光,形成洞中洞的效果。洞不仅让光线穿过,还释放了光线。
The design method of Raumplan does not only emphasize on the integrity of “volume-like space”, but also calls for the openness among different spaces so that the layers and relations of the spaces could be revealed. As Spanish architect A.C.Baeza comments, “the light going through a room to another is important”, DAS makes a series of holes in some key spots to let the light and sight go through. The obliquely opened holes extend the distance between the two adjacent spaces and create a longer connecting depth. Some smaller holes are opened to install lightings alongside the distance and form a hole-in-hole effect. Those holes not only enable the light to go through but also liberate it.
良渚文化村欧式小镇的建筑风格与本地自然景观的结合产生了一种普世但又陌生的美,像一个童话小镇。在此基调上,《玉鸟流苏》画面采用
了多角度的斜向投影轴测图,类似立体派的表现方式。【琰玉兿文】的空间除了在原位表现外,又被拆解为若干单元,在空中进行了放大。这 种方法在建筑师Zaha Hadid的早期绘画中多次出现,她将至上主义抽象的画面构成元素赋予了具体的建筑意义。这种绘图法让对设计的表现, 对周边环境的描绘和对画面的组织构成有机地结合在了一起。
The combination of the European architectural style and local natural landscape creates a universal yet unfamiliar beauty for Liangzhu New Town, making it like a small fairy town. Based on this tonality, DAS creates a multiview axonometric projection for the drawing Festival Place, similar to the expression of Cubism. Besides its existence at the original spot, the structure of Yanyu Art Space is also deconstructed into several units and enlarged in the air. Such a representational method is often found in the early works of architect Zaha Hadid. She endows specific architectural meanings to the abstract constituent elements of Suprematism. As a result, the representation of the architectural design, depiction of the surrounding environment, and layout of the drawing itself are organically integrated into one unity.

DAS insists on the idea that architectural drawing is a new exploration parallel to architectural design. It is not the same as sketch, rendering, technical drawing and diagram which are merely tools to serve architectural design. Architectural drawing is to offer visual experiences that cannot be achieved in the real space. Therefore it is independent from design and has its own potential for further development.
