Tolink a fairly small two-and-a-half bedroom abode lined with floor-to-ceilingbook shelves, the house’s greatest feature--a graceful louvered gallery wasthus created. Throughout the residence, a fundamental theme of black, white andnatural travertine stone not only ties this gallery to the rest of the home’sentertainment spaces, but also reveals the homeowner’s dedication toconsistency and desire for a classic, timeless home. The more intimatesecond-level bedrooms are linked by a bridge across the gallery. On all sidesof the dining room are doors leading to other entertainment pockets of thehouse: Pool deck, dry kitchen, gym and entrance gallery. The living room isdesigned for intimate entertaining with doors to enclose the space. As with thedining room, the living room walls are also paneled with fabric-padded inserts.It is awash with lush, mahogany tones, echoing the elite ambience of a Londongentleman’s club. Upstairs, one of the well-appointed bedrooms is distinguishedby an original weaving of LOVE by Robert Indiana. A commissioned portrait tothe likes of the master of the house as well as iconic zebra ottomans fromRalph Lauren are featured in the room.
