tokyo-based klein dytham architecture's 'T-site' in daikanyama, tokyo, japan is a shortlisted building in the shopping category for the 2012 world architecture festival. dedicated to books, music and movie retail market, the store is part of tsutaya, a low-rise retail complex. three pavilions arranged amidst the existing, mature trees led to its selection within an invited design competition. an exterior of glass contrasts the multiple facades of perforated screens formed with a woven motif which discretely integrates the brand's T logo.
