杭州一家不错的糕点店
SUYI – Chinese Pastry Shop
The snack-bar style shop is located on the commercial level of a recently opened metro line station right under the new business district in Suzhou. It caters the local consumers looking for a new experience and trust in high-end traditional chinese pastries. The space presents itself both as a boutique shop and a snack bar; a band of strips wraps both walls and roof to glorify products in the center of the space. On the display side, the strips are extruded creating surfaces to become shelves and as they reach the ground furniture pieces complement the gesture with the complexity and elegance characteristic of eastern modern taste. The designer has also embraced on branding and packaging design in a way to integrate spatial ideas with product presentation, the graphics show a play between traditional patterns and free form shapes similar to those proposed on the shop fittings. The logo is based on traditional window patterns, the characters苏怡 use western typos, and the letters SUYI use chinese strokes, delivering the idea of fusion within the brand.
