This hotel and condominium project celebrates the unique climate and vegetation of the desert. Each suite has its own garden and is oriented parallel to the façade, so every room enjoys sunlight and a view of colorful desert flowers.
Designed to give the feeling of visiting a friend’s villa, the hotel will be the world’s first codified six-star luxury accommodations, and SOM’s design process includes the creation of new protocols of social life and guest service.
The material palette and visual language are simple, comfortable, and modern. Light filters down over vertical surfaces of stone and wood, reflecting pools establish a tranquil character, and desert flowers and plants add color.
